CHRC remains committed to partnering the Gemfields community as part of its long term planning for the Central Highlands region.

The Gemfields 2022 Community Reference Group (CRG) has been established to implement the Gemfields 2022 Community Plan.  This Plan was developed by the Gemfields community when Central Highlands Regional Council (CHRC) created the ten year Central Highlands 2022 Community Plan.

The Gemfields 2022 CRG has representation accross all sectors of the community including:

  • Rural Landholders
  • Youth
  • Seniors
  • Sport & Recreation / Cultural
  • Education
  • Health / Community Services
  • Business; and
  • Industry 

This group plays an important role in supporting the Gemfields community to achieve their vision for 2022.

A group of Gemfields residents took up the challenge to nominate for the Gemfields 2022 Community Reference Group (CRG).

They saw the opportunity for community, government, business and industry to partner in advancing initiatives for Gemfields and to have a say in planning the Gemfields' long term future.
