CHRC remains committed to partnering the Comet community as part of its long term planning for the Central Highlands region.

The Comet 2022 Community Reference Group (CRG) has been established to implement the Comet 2022 Community Plan.  This Plan was developed by the Comet community when Central Highlands Regional Council (CHRC) created the ten year Central Highlands 2022 Community Plan.

The Comet 2022 CRG has representation accross all sectors of the community including:

  • Rural Landholders
  • Youth
  • Seniors
  • Sport & Recreation / Arts & Cultural
  • Education
  • Health / Community Services
  • Business; and
  • Industry 

This group plays an important role in supporting the Comet community to achieve their vision for 2022.

A group of Comet residents took up the challenge in March 2015 to nominate for the Comet 2022 Community Reference Group (CRG).

They saw the opportunity for community, government, business and industry to partner in advancing initiatives for Comet and to have a say in planning Comet's long term future.
