CHRC remains committed to partnering the Blackwater community as part of its long term planning for the Central Highlands region.

The Blackwater 2022 Community Reference Group (CRG) has been established to implement the Capella 2022 Community Plan.  This Plan was developed by the Blackwater community when Central Highlands Regional Council (CHRC) created the ten year Central Highlands 2022 Community Plan.

The Blackwater 2022 CRG has representation accross all sectors of the community including:

  • Rural Landholders
  • Youth
  • Seniors
  • Sport & Recreation / Arts & Cultural
  • Education
  • Health / Community Services
  • Business; and
  • Industry 

This group plays an important role in supporting the Blackwater community to achieve their vision for 2022.

A group of Blackwater residents took up the challenge in September 2013 to nominate for the Blackwater 2022 Community Reference Group (CRG).

They saw the opportunity for community, government, business and industry to partner in advancing initiatives for Blackwater and to have a say in planning Blackwater's long term future.
